Peachy Smokey Makeup Look and a quick FAQ about my Grey Ombre Hair

I've been receiving a lot of questions about my current hair dye lately. So, I thought 'hey, I might as well include it in my blog' y'know? I'll be talking about that on the latter part of my post, though. For now, I want to show you guys my Peachy Smokey Makeup Look! So, without further ado, here it is! (ノ^ヮ^)ノ*:・゚✧

Here's a close up for eye makeup:
I prefer to wear a more natural makeup on the eyebrow. Not really a fan of the trendy overdrawn eyebrows. I don't hate it, it's just that I prefer to do mine this way. :)

And of course, here's some selfie of me enjoying the makeup look (。>ω<)。
I'm inlove with peach shades!

I tried this look with another lipstick and it turned out well also!

And here's a comparison of me before and after makeup :3 where the makeup shamers at?
So there's this Filipina celebrity that has gone viral recently because of makeup shaming on social media. Well here's my take on it and to those who are fond of makeup shaming.

Yes, I'm not naturally pretty. I just know how to use the power of makeup to look and feel beautiful. In fact, I'm a lot more "myself," not to mention that my confidence goes from a 2 to 10 when I wear it. Makeup is an art. It's one of my ways of expressing myself. So why the hate? We all know that not everyone is born pretty. If you are, then lucky you! But for us who are not; makeup could be one of our resorts in concealing our insecurities. I always look down when I'm barefaced because I honestly hate my flat nose, and how big my face is. In fact, I've experienced bullying about these imperfections. But with a touch of a brush, a noseline and contour is born, and I can confidently keep my head up while walking. I can even slay and conquer with it. Haha~
I know a lot of you have been bullied for not being pretty. And now that we're actually doing something about it, we're still being shamed for trying our best to be pretty enough! Isn't it ironic? Well, that's society for you. *sigh* I just hope that the majority of us would be more open about this issue. Stop makeup shaming! Whatever other people say, LOOKS DO MATTER. It may not to some of you, but the truth is, majority of us do. So if makeup helps us belong to the "pretty" category, don't you dare bring us down. If you don't want to put makeup on, then that's fine. By the way, I'm not mad or anything. I just feel like I gotta speak up about this issue. I need to defend myself and my fellow makeup junkies out there. I hope everything that I said made sense to all of you. I rarely post something like this so I'm really sorry :(

Anyhow, let's now talk about frequently asked questions about my current hair ヘ(゚∇゚ヘ)

*Where did you have your hair done? (Saan ka nagpakulay ng buhok?)
- Just here lang sa bahay with the help of my cousin, Nami.

*Where did you buy the hair dye? (Saan mo nabili yung pang kulay ng buhok?)
- Nabili ko po siya sa HairyTrends Colour by Maricris Garcia-Ganda. I highly recommend the products from her shop especially the Keratin! I can't imagine my life without it huhu the best hair product for me! It made my super extremely dry hair to slightly dry na lang. Haha~ Wala eh, ganun talaga when your hair is bleached. You have to accept that its gonna be dry forever~

*Do I need to bleach to achieve hair color like yours? (Kailangan ko ba mag bleach para ma-achieve yung color tulad ng sayo?)
- Definitely! My hair was from super pale yellow kaya ganyan kinalabasan kitang kita yung color gray.

*How many times do I have to bleach? (Ilan beses ko kailangan mag bleach?)
- Depends on your hair. If your hair is super black like mine then you might need to bleach 3 times. Mine usually takes 3-4 times to achieve the pale blonde. Pero if your hair is somewhere brown to light brown siguro it would take 1-2 bleach. Depends po talaga sa hair niyo.

*Do you do hair color services? (Natanggap ka ba ng pakulay ng hair?)
- Sorry but no. I only do hair and makeup services po :( but you can try Maricris Ganda-Garcia! She's good in that field! Super duper love her works

PS. This is not sponsored by Maricris. I just love her products and I'm a fan of hers

Just for your additional info here's how my hair looks before dying it with gray:
It's pale yellow already. So basically, the "base" color of my hair is already light that's why it's easier to dye my hair with any color. From really pale pastels to dark.
But if your hair is dark.. let's say you want to apply the same color as mine. It won't appear the same because the "base" of your hair is dark. I hope I made sense. Haha! It's pretty hard to explain as I'm not usually good at explaining things.

Here's how it looks right after we finished dying my hair:
Hahaha sorry for my isang kilong eyebags (⌯˃̶᷄ ﹏ ˂̶᷄⌯)゚

My hair was initially dark greyish blue. Must be because I let the hair dye sit for 3 hours. But it became this with just one wash:

It started to fade. And it looked like this after 3 washes:

The perfect ombre grey!! Achieved (๑•̀ㅂ•́)و✧

That's it! I hope I somehow helped those who want to achieve the granny hair~
Goodluck ╭(๑ ॔ㅂ ਂ ॓)و ̑̑

My Crocheting Journey and Off Shoulder Swimwear

I've been crocheting almost everyday for the past few months; it's what I always do whenever my baby is sleeping or on good behavior. So I find the fact that I haven't written about it yet very weird! 「(゚<゚)゙

Fashion, makeup, cosplay and finally, crocheting; I bet you're wondering how it all began. Before I was introduced to it, I would always associate the art with blankets, rugs, doilies, cover ups and grannies buried underneath heaps of yarn by the fireplace - definitely not my cup of tea! Then one day, while searching for ideas for my baby's getup, I fell in love with the cutest mermaid crochet costume ever and the rest is history. I discovered that there were a lot of amazing stuff you can create with it... and how cute my baby looked in one! Definitely a win. Admittedly, it's difficult to learn something like crocheting without a mentor who could demonstrate things right in front of you, and it was a shame that I couldn't find anybody to teach me, but the determination to create wonderfully cute costumes for my baby took over! Youtube had a treasure trove of tutorials.

As expected, it was a tough road to take: a hook in one hand, and a baby in another! It was labor intensive and time consuming. Even though there were times that frustration got the better of me and I wanted to give up, I just reminded myself of how my baby would look like in my long list of dream creations and I would instantly snap right back on track. Today, I have a massive collection of cute crochet stuff for my baby - from hats to boots to dresses and swimsuits. Nothing beats the joy of seeing my daughter wearing a dress I specifically made for her. I'm proud to say that everything was made with lots of love, and that's what matters the most to me. It all paid off! <3

I've got a long way to go, but I'm happy that I took the opportunity to learn the art of crocheting. 6 months in and it's not just a hobby anymore, it's more of a, say, passion. Yes, just like how I feel about everything you see here in my blog. Crocheting is love (♥ω♥ ) ~♪ And I wish to spread the love for crochet too.

With that said, I'll be sharing my latest crochet project. It's the off shoulder swimwear that I wore during the 2nd day of our El Nido trip. I'm quite satisfied with how it turned out considering that its my 2nd attempt at swimwear. The first one was the watermelon bra that I wore during baby Anastasia's 5th month shoot here. Without further ado, let me show you my version of the off shoulder swimwear (灬♥ω♥灬)

Details:
Here's a pattern reference for this top: DIY Crochet Top // Braedyn Bralette part 1

I attached bra pads because it tends to slip down without it. I don't have big boobs that will support it stay up. Flat problems (。•́︿•̀。)

I used a granny square pattern for this. Here's a tutorial for those who might be interested: How To Crochet Granny Square And How To Join As You Go Tutorial Pattern #9

If some of you are curious as to how effective it was as swimwear, then I would say... absolutely not! Hahaha! I should have considered the kind of yarn to use. I chose to use Gantsilyo Guru's Milk Cotton Light in Old Rose because it was too pretty, all the while ignoring the fact that it was made of cotton. So basically (which didn't seem so basic at the time), the yarn would naturally expand and get heavier when wet. ໒( •́ ∧ •̀ )७ As consequence, they had a tendency to slip down when beach time came. If you're planning on making one of your own, I suggest using a lightweight synthetic yarn instead. A nylon yarn, maybe? Don't make the same mistakes as I did!

Okay moving on.. I'll just look at the bright side, and I hope you will too! Learning crochet can be heartbreaking at times (unraveling every stitch you made after "finishing" because you just found out that you've been doing it wrong (⌯˃̶᷄ ﹏ ˂̶᷄⌯) - and believe me, I've been there a million times) but it can also be very rewarding. It's just how it goes, especially if you're planning on learning the art by yourself. Mistakes are there to make you learn and improve! (๑•̀ㅂ•́)و✧

Anyhow,
This is how it looks when worn with only the bikini.

OFF TOPIC: I think I did a pretty good job in getting my body after giving birth. Although, it's not the same as it was before because of all the mommy tattoos I got from it. Hehe~ And yes, I'm back to being tan. It's been years since I was last this dark.

And before I end this post, here's me wearing the swimsuit on the actual trip! Hohoho.

And that's it. I hope I somehow inspire you to crochet! 」( ̄▽ ̄」)

2nd Honeymoon at El Nido Palawan ლ(́◉◞౪◟◉‵ლ)

My husband and I celebrated our first wedding anniversary last January 15th. I truly am blessed to have him as my partner. He's a loving husband, a wonderful father, and an awesome person. Now that I think about it, isn't it awesome that we haven't actually gotten into a fight since we got married? Well I think it's okay coz it's hard to win an argument against him( he's really smart btw) haha. We do have misunderstanding sometimes, but we'll be okay in just a minute or two. I wonder why... Hmm must be because we're too perfect for each other yihieee~~~~ I do hope we stay this way forever.
I love him so much! I can't imagine my life without him. He brings out the best in me. Honestly, I don't consider myself a good person before I met him. I was very immature, irresponsible, selfish, judgmental, mean, and sometimes a bully. But I suddenly changed my ways without even noticing it. He didn't ask me to change. It just feels like I naturally changed by just being with him. I learned a lot of things from him. I learned how to think before I speak, learned to appreciate one's effort, learned to analyze the situation first before judging, and a lot more... It is truly amazing how I changed for the better without knowing it. Thank you hubby for saving me and thank you for loving me when I'm on my worst and whenever I'm on my "baliw mode" haha. He really is the best thing in my life. I'll love him forever and I'm eternally thankful to god for giving him as my partner.
Okaaaaay that's it for the cheesy message haha~

We spent our 1st wedding anniversary at El Nido, Palawan. It was my first time in Palawan, and I still can't get over how beautiful Palawan is. Now I know why it is one of the most beautiful places in the world. The scenery is so surreal and magical. It feels like I was in paradise. It is that beautiful. We will definitely comeback!! My husband and I had a great time at Palawan. We enjoyed the activities, island hopping, and of course the view. The only thing that we didn't enjoy was the food. Food is quite pricey compared to Manila and it's not good. I'm a picky eater so yea I didn't enjoyed the food. We should've looked up on good places to eat in El Nido. But despite the bad food, my husband and I will definitely comeback!

Anyway, let me share some photos from our trip~

PS. Sorry if some shots have blurred spots or foggy. It's because of the water drops on gopro lens. Also, some shots are low quality because it's just a screenshot from a video.

Btw, I made the crochet swimsuits that I wore hehe~
