Review: Majolica Majorca Lash Expander Frame Plus

Hey dollies! I'm up to blog another review post :-)

I'm very much fond of dolly looking make ups. Eye lashes plays a big role in achieving the dolly eyes I've always been wanted. Unfortunately, my lashes are too short. It has always been one of my frustrations. Good thing mascaras and false eye lashes do exist. Cheers to whoever invented these beautiful beauty gadgets

Anyhow, Here's what I got:

Majolica Majorca Lash Expander Frame Plus

Majolica Majorca is a Japanese cosmetic brand. It's a cheaper cosmetic line of Shiseido. This mascara had caught my attention. Earning thousands and hundreds of raves from beauty blogs etc. So, I decided to buy myself one and give a chance to try it out. Bought this mascara last month at SM Makati, Watsons. I make sure to invest enough time to have the product tested before I write this review. and here's my take about the product..

PROS
does a pretty great job in lengthening power
Amazing formula
Cute packaging
Applicator wand
Curls your lashes pretty well
Dries quickly
Waterproof
Smudge-proof
Available in malls/local drugstores
Affordable

CONS
a lil bitchy in terms of removing

I adore the packaging. It gives me this "victorian feel" which I am a fond of. Very cute yet classy and sophisticated.

The applicator is kinda weird since it's distinct from other traditional mascara applicators. But, this wand is MAGIC! Using the comb-like brush, apply to lashes by stroking upwards from roots to tips, layering repeatedly until the desired length or effect is achieved. Be sure to dip the brush into the tube between layers for a fresh coat of length-building fibers, every time. Apply in zig-zag directions to create volume-up or thickening result. It really does a pretty god job in terms of lengthening. But I say neutral on the volubility power. The formula is good it lengthens and separates my lashes. It doesn't feel sticky on lashes.

This is one of the best mascara I've tried so far. However, I don't use it daily. I've always been having a hard time on removing this thing on my lashes. It somehow annoys me. As much as I want to use this mascara daily.. I simple just can't. I've been trying to remove it with makeup remover. But, it still won't come off. I'm pretty sure if I use this daily on my "bald looking lashes" It would make my lashes real bald. lol I just used this product occasionally.

My lashes with Majolica Majorca Lash Expander Frame Plus

Pretty amazing isn't it? From bald looking lashes to dolly lashes. To sum up, this product is affordable. It cost around 700-800php or 17-18usd. I'm sorry I forgot the exact price. Overall, I'm impressed. It's just so sad that I couldn't use this daily. Maybe I should get myself a good makeup remover for this product.

Off topic: Class was suspended today that's why I had time on bloggin about this. My classes starts tomorrow :/ Oh nooo. I'll be busy again... or not? lol Yes, I'm a super duper mega lazy student. I go absent anytime I wanted to. I don't do my homeworks. I don't pass my activities on time. I come to school late. That's how lazy I am. HAHAHA! But despite of my laziness. Passion is what keeps me alive. I love what I am doing. But again, my laziness is just so annoying. I just can't help it. I gotta change before it's too late. Okaay, I'll try to change for the better this term. :P I'll be a good girl! Goodluck to me~ Oh and another thing.. I'm so excited about my portfolio photoshoot. I'm working with my 1st collection! This foundation gives me a flawless looking skin and 3D feel especially on photographs. You don't need to use photoshop on your skin. I called this foundation as "Portable Photoshop" LOL Anyway, the coverage of this foundation is good. Can be used alone without concealer. Just make sure to apply it properly. It's best applied with stippling brush, my opinion. It's amazingly blendable! goes on smoothly and very easy to blend on moisturized skin. However, I don't recommend this with people who have dry skin. It tends to cake up, flake on dry skin.
Has a lil shimmer. I did some online research about this product and that's what others hate about photoready. But I don't really mind the shimmer at all. It gives me a dewy, glowy looking skin. It's actually barely unnoticeable when the foundation is set with loose powder. Loose powder is a MUST or anything that will set the foundation. I've tried it without loose powder and all I can say is.. I just hate the feeling! the heaviness I feel on my skin is doubled and it made my face oilier. I won't use this every summer!

I love how this foundation doesn't break me out. My skin is so sensitive especially with foundations. Been using this foundation for a year now. And so far so good! It's very consistent on me.

I'll rate this product as 4/5 I definitely recommend this product!

Gold and Black Smokey Make-up Look tutorial

Hi Everyone~ Yey my 2nd ever makeup tutorial! gold and black smokey eyes :3
Gold is personally one of my favorite color. It's very elegant and sophisticated.. oh well my opinion. haha!

So, here's the look that I'll be doing:

This look is inspired by Taylor Momsen smokey eyes.

Okay then, let's get started! ^_^

Moisturize + prime your face. I'm using Mary Kaye moisturizer and L'oreal Base Magique primer

Conceal all your blemishes, dark spots, redness on your face. Use dark concealer for blemishes, and light  shade for concealing the dark spots under your eyes.

Apply foundation with stippling brush. I'm using Revlon Photoready liquid foundation. Stippling brush is my favorite for applying foundation because it gives you an airbrushed finish. But you can use foundation brush, sponge, or your fingers for applying your foundation. Don't forget to blend it well.

Set your foundation with loose powder. This will mattifies your face and help your foundation to last longer. I'm using Candy Doll loose powder apply with big powder brush.

Hahaha K don't mind this picture! me after doing all those steps.

Prime your lids. I'm using Smashbox Photo finish lid primer.

Blend the primer with your finger.

NYX  Jumbo eye pencil in milk

Using a white base eyeshadow, prep your eyes. This will serve as the base color of the eye makeup that we'll be creating. It will help the eyeshadow to pop more brighter.

Giorgio Armani eyeshadow palette

Apply brownish gold shade eye shadow.

4U2 Pro eye palette

Apply gold eyeshadow on top of the brownish gold eyeshadow. I mix them together to achieve the color that I wanted.

Dior Quad makeup palette

Apply black matte eyeshadow on crease and outer V of your eyes. If you're finding it hard to locate where your crease is.. Here's a tip: look straight and press your lids with your brush gently, as shown in the picture.

Apply the same black matte eyeshadow on your lower lids. Create a smokey effect by smudging and blending the eyeshadow using eyeliner brush and bullet crease brush.

Dior eyeshadow palette with lipgloss

Highlight your browbone using a light shade of eyeshadow.

Blend the eyeshdow using a fluffy blending brush.

Urban Decay 24/7 glide on eye pencil in zero

Tightline your eyes.

Apply eyeliner on your waterline.

Dolly Wink liquid eyeliner black

Draw a very thin line on your lids.

Majolica Majorca Lash expander

Apply Mascara on your upper lash and bottom lashes.

Bibo Eyeful Eyebrow

Define your brows. Make sure to use a shade that matches your hair color. I'm using a blonde shade because my hair is light.

Brush your eyebrow to blend and prevent harsh line on your eyebrows.

Too Faced Bronzer

Contour your cheeks. This will add dimension on your face.

Majolica Majorca Purple Highlighter

Smile real big and apply blush on the apple of your cheeks.

YSL Volupte lipbalm

Apply lipbalm.

Line your lips using lip liner. I'm using Etude house lipliner.

Rimmel red lipstick, L'oreal Color riche

Apply red lipstick and lip gloss.

And you're now finished!
This makeup look is good for night parties or any special occasion that you'll be attending! :)

Time forrrrrrrr PHOTO SPAM!! CAMWHORE XDD
